Any aNaLoG.MaN fans in here? I am! ;D ...I've had just about every pedal he makes and my pedalboards look like I'm a aNaLoG.MaN dealer....lol... I've tried many brands and spent thousands buying and selling pedals....I never get tired of my aNaLoG.MaN products.

That's good to hear Mark.. I haven't experienced them yet. I'm very interested in the Beano Boost.. what do ya think of that one?

My Beano Boost is one of my favorites! It does exactly what he says it does. The coolest thing is the drive you get when using with an amp on the edge of breakup...( your Ghia is the perfect example! )...with the guitar volume on 10, it's a smooth, creamy, but biting tone...back off the guitar volume and and it cleans up to the most beautiful, sparkly sound you've ever heard. Very nice! Highly recommended!

..gulp.. that sounds like some great fun! I love that it's hand-wired with NOS parts and no circuit boards...
I'll have to put it on the short list. ;D

I bought a Keeley Java Boost after I got my Beano and it was good, but not as pure as the Beano. It has a pc board and a tone control.... The Beano reminds me of a Z amp...simple and pure=better tone!

Let us know how you like it, Corey. I had one years ago and I wish I hadn't sold it now. It's an amazing solo boost. Works best into an amp that's already breaking up, IMO.

Congrats Corey!...I'm sure you will be pleased! oh....when I first got mine and fired it up...I thought...what tha &^%$#!!...this thing sucks!... I had it at the end of my pedalboard....after some head scratching, I put it at the first of the chain and the wow factor began! It's great as the only pedal as well....and before an overdrive or fuzz...or after a sunface...ala' SunLion.... Enjoy!!~

Hey Mark.. any other insights would be helpful. I read the whole essay on Analogman's Beano page.. it's a lot of info, but I was captivated. Lots of info about the original Dallas Rangemaster.. and who's who in the treble-booster saga. Tips and facts like; the first Beano Boost was built for Tony Iommi. Of course my favorite guitarist, Brian May, uses one for 100% of his electric tones. First a real Rangemaster, then Pete Cornish units, then Greg Fryer units too... Anyway, I'm excited about the pedal.. first, I plan to try it as the only thing between my Esquire and Ghia. Scheduled Delivery: MONDAY! ;D

any other insights would be helpful. Well...what I have to say about it is...I use mine on the low setting. I take it you got the one with the Hi/Mid/Lo switch? ALso...I usually set the volume at at least 11am....Mike says 1pm and it does sound better there, but may be too loud if you turn it off and on. On the low setting it's not really a "treble" boost, but a thick, juicy boost...lol...UNTILL you roll the volume back...then it's sparkle city. The mid setting is useful too and the I never use the Hi setting, which it the original "treble " boost setting. I love it and hope you will. Cant wait to hear your thoughts. Enjoy...happy waiting till Monday! ;D

Punch and definition to spare! Not really distortion, or even typical overdrive tones.. Just big 'ole fat, in-your-face PUNCH!
I love the tone for Rock'n Roll after 11:00, but the volume boost is huge! For touch-sensitive Blues, it sounds great around 10:00'ish.
Visually, I notice a couple of things.. firstly, no feet.. secondly, the finish looks bomb-proof.. third, the red art looks slick on top of my Red Ghia head.. fourth, the circuit inside looks painfully simple, especially considering that a lot of the wiring is unnecessary [DC jack, 3-way toggle, LED, and True-Bypass switch].
The version I received has the CV7003 Transistor, which is the Military version of the precious OC44 Transistor. It's hand-written inside the cover, along with about three signatures.. with a build date of April '09.
I am happy. ;D

I have a NKT275 transistor in mine. I bought another off eBay that stated it had the CV7003, but when I got it, it had the NKT275. I kept it awhile the let it go. We need to get together and compare these 2 transistors! ;D Enjoy~!

No doubt Mark.. I wonder how different those Transistors sound. I've read that the CV7003 sounds more aggressive.. and the NKT is sweeter.. who knows. I'll be watching to see if I want to leave Beano on all-the-time, on top of my Ghia where it's easy to reach. ;D

So Corey, when you are pushing your Ghia with the Beano, is it terribly loud? I can't remember if you said you are using a Brake Lite or any attenuator. I have the Flying Dragon and if I get my Maz cooking with the V on 3, the Master has to be low enough so that I don't blow the windows out of the house. With the Dragon at anything above noon it's pure magic! Love the fat in your face punch. But the volume is wicked, which I don't mind but some do....

Well, yes.. The Beano/Ghia combo is blistering. Here's the kicker.. I'm one of those weirdos that thinks nothing should compromise the OT-Speaker connection.. I have a dusty attenuator, somewhere.
Beano's tone is hot, and purely magical above 11:00'ish. In a situation where volume is no concern, it's "the cat's meow"!

Glad you like the Beano Corey. ok Mark, enough talk about that, you'll make me want a Beano. I like your thoughts Corey, nothing in the middle to compromise. I would love to do the same but unfortunately with the music I play, I need to have lower volume and the ability to have some gutsy hair and drive..that comes from my board
