I have a 2005 Maz Jr with a Celestion Blue in it and I'm thinking about putting one of my TT's in to see how it sounds.. I'm a big TT fan and have 2 - 12" AlNiCo's and 4 - 10" AlNiCo's... but none are in amps at the moment. I sold all the amp's these speakers were in, but was not getting rid of these gem's! ;D

Mark, you know I share your love for Dr. Z amps. My Ghia sounds great while driving an H1 Alnico.. I imagine that the Maz will be fantastic. Wow, that's a nice spread of Tubbys Mark. Report back when you have a Maz/Tubby verdict.

Yes...I may just make that speaker change this weekend. I have a couple of days off.

Ok...I put my H1E in my Maz Jr the other day. I'm glad I waited a few days to post this. The Celestion Blue that was in it sounded truly awesome, but I wanted to hear my TT in there to compare. I was very disappointed at first listen. The first thing I noticed was the TT did not have the super low end rumble that the Blue has. That really surprised me because I was expecting the opposite! Then another thing was the high end sizzle/chime was gone. Now don't get me wrong, the TT has plenty of low's and high's, just not as wide ranged as the Blue. The TT also seems to have a slightly more scooped mid-range. This was all very interesting because I was expecting the opposite in all area's except the high's. Now after a few days of knob twisting and fine tuning I've noticed the TT has a much tighter bottom that holds together much better than the Blue. It seems to be a cleaner speaker with not as much speaker break-up or as much cone cry. Overall a much smoother sound with a slight decrease in volume as well. The jury is still out as to whether I'll leave this TT in it or switch back to the Blue. I'll probably leave the TT in a few months, the switch back to make an even more detailed review. The Tone Tubby AlNiCo did amazing things to the Allen Accomplice I had it in a few years till I sold it. It's not going anywhere. I may try my other one in my Dr Z cab powered by my Remedy Head.

I'd be really interested in hearing the review of a Remedy and a TT! I'm leaning toward a Remedy as my next amp purchase. That or a Swart STR.

Well....I'm bonding with this TT in my Maz. It's sounding great. Not sure why it sounds better now than when I first put it in....It's fully broken in. Maybe the Maz is getting used to pumping into it. or...maybe I'm just getting used to it...
